The new Honey Creek Resort on the shores of Lake Rathbun makes a splash on the cover of the 2009 Iowa Travel Guide, which is being released today by state tourism officials.

OMAHA, Neb. - Eppley officials said the airflow has been mostly smooth for its passengers, but plenty of drivers still decided to use their vehicles to get to their holiday destinations.
The Metro Area Motorists Assist is out patrolling, ensuring those drivers are rolling along with full tires and full gas tanks.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - There were long lines Wednesday morning at the Greyhound station in downtown Sacramento, where many people had to spend the night.
Some people said they have been trying to get home for five days now.

One of the busiest travel holidays of the year is the day before Thanksgiving, and the Georgia DOT is advising motorist to expect delays, plan ahead and be patient.
